Elkhorn, Nebraska nestles in the shadows of the bustling City of Omaha, with the Missouri River meandering nearby.  Named for the Elkhorn River, this growing NE community became an established city in 1865.  Elkhorn claims a total area of less than 10 square miles, with an elevation of 1,214 feet.  Elkhorn's population (2000 Census)  includes 6,062 residents.
